Grant is having a terrible time getting to bed and a terrible time with night wakings because he's having some kind of over-active-imagination-nightmare-keep-Mommy-up-all-night-sometimes-on-the-floor-of-his-room type of thingy.
Does anyone have any suggestions or tips you've heard on how to solve the "something is eating at my skin" or "the crab keeps trying to get in my ear" kind of sleep issue?

Inexpensive spray bottle, filled with Go Away, Monster magic water. When Grant struggles with a fear, you can spray the water around the room to protect him from (fill in the blank). This has worked for several children I know. If not this one, I hope you find something that works!
A magic flashlight (preferably one he has picked out) can also help check out things in the night. Leave it with him to turn on when he feels the need to check. Giving him something to do when he is worried might help him.
I'm sure you've tried to put a little lotion on him before bed - since the heat is now on, his skin may be a little drier and itchier.
Hope it ends soon!
